Using elements from the Type as an Image project along with black and white photographs, we needed to create collages that accentuated both the image and the physical collage. The images below show the finished collages. Each image is supposed to represent a different descriptor: figure, gesture, and texture. I wanted to focus on a love of mine which is baseball. It has been a constant for me throughout the years especially as a big sister. For figure and gesture the images are taken from my brother’s games. One of him hitting and the other of him sliding into second base. With this theme I chose to use sand for my texture. The same collage elements are used throughout the individual images.
