Orange Slice
I created this image for a print exchange through my Relief Printmaking course. We each had the same size block which we could choose to do either linoleum or wood to create an edition of 21. I chose to do wood and to focus on a fruit slice image. Throughout the process of this piece I made the decision to add a boarder to the piece. Once that decision was made it felt a lot more like a postage stamp. To increase that feeling I used a pink eraser to create a little stamp that has a price tag for 99 cents. This little stamp I think is crucial to the final piece because of the pop of color that it brings.
